Month: July 2013
Why hello bed we meet again.
I see no shame in being in bed right now because:
1) I worked a 10 hour day.
2) My bed is super comfy
3) I like sleep……..
4) My tv is in my room (cough cough pretty little liars)
5) My laptop is in my room (cough… Revenge/blogging!)
In relation to #5 I’m now addicted to a show called Revenge ( thanks Cait). I’m in the process of catching up on the first two seasons. Does anyone else watch it?!
EH that is all for today. I really have nothing interesting to talk about other then I worked a long day today.
ps: I think I’ll start trying to add fun pictures to the end of each post. Today will be an old photo. LOL bedhead
So I’m currently not feeling well. Hence the title of this post. But I thought I would share a little about my oh so lovely weekend. Instead of typing a lot I think I’ll just post a few pictures.
So to start off….. I got to the river friday night around 7ish and got to witness this beauty
The night was spent fishing and passing out early since we all are “adults” now and had an exhausting week. The next morning I woke up promptly at around 6:30am. I had an issue sleeping in lately….especially when water activities are involved. YES… I am that annoying friend who if you take me anywhere near the water I will be awake at the crack of dawn and wayy to excited to be there. SORRY BOUT IT! The day was spent riding jet skis and getting a tan (but seriously I’m super ADD so more jet skiing for me). I never realized how exhausting jet skiing is…..especially if the water is rough.
We were supposed to get a bad storm but instead we got this.
The next day was spent being a bum and learning how to drive a small yacht until I had to journey back home for my sisters birthday party.
And now I don’t feel like writing anymore.
a sickly meghan
So last night I said I would probably post a long rambling blog entry about everything in my head. I instead found a better way to just relax and let it all go. I went for a nice long walk with my mom and dog and had a good chat. I then went and spent part of my night catching up on my new favorite show Revenge with my good friend Cait. Turns out that was all I needed to clear my head for a while.
Now I am about to journey off to the Potomac for the weekend to unwind with the good friends. Needless to say I am happy and finally relaxed.
OH and I finally finished my boat safety certification so I can LEGALLY drive boats! WOO.
Until sunday night
Today is one of those days I have a lot to say. You see the problems is I can’t quite figure out how to put this jumble of millions of thoughts running through my head into simple words. No need to fear. As soon as I find a way to put this all in words I’m sure I’ll post some long winded confusing jumble that is my thoughts.
Let me get some food in me and go on a run and we will reconviene this!
Time flies now doesn’t it?
This summer has gone by awfully fast. In 19 days I will be moving back to school to start my senior year of college. Now that is kind of scary! I have three weekends left to make the most of my time at home. This weekend I’m spending time at a place I love….the river. I get to go back to that lovely place I posted a picture of a few days ago. Needless to say I am happy! As for my last two weekends here I’m quickly trying to figure out what I want to do and who I want to see before I leave. Looks like I have some planning to do. There is so much to do and not much time left.
WHAT?! CRASH AND BOOM part 2?!
I know what you’re thinking…..”this can’t be good right?!” Well here comes the story.
First off I want to tell you it’s a common myth among boaters that bananas are bad luck! I never really believed this myth until today!
So I’m at work. Since our accident last week we had managed to borrow a truck from another division. We had our boat trailer all hooked up and were about halfway to our destination when…….THUD! It sounded like we had run over something. I turn around to look and there was one of the tires from the trailer shooting across the other side of the highway.
This resulted in us have to quickly pull over and be stranded on the side of the road until a cop and a tow truck could come to our rescue. YAY us.
I had been told the myth before that bananas were bad luck to boaters. We teased our boss because he had consumed a large BANANA slurpie the day before our “accident” today, and the one last week. Upon teasing him I realized I was “just at much to blame”. For I myself had a a banana in my cereal this morning.
But in all seriousness we have hit a stroke of bad luck or something at work recently! This needs to stop. My mom says bad luck come in three. I’m scared to see what comes next!
(more info on bananas)
On another note CRASH AND BOOM part 3 almost occurred this afternoon thanks to a lovely gentleman who decided to not let me merge onto the highway today. You see, there was this spot open between two cars as I was merging onto the highway. So I tired to get in due to the fact I had about 10 yards left before my lane didn’t exist anymore. Either the man didn’t see me (not likely) or was just being a straight up a hole. As my lane was running out he pulled up next to me….THANKS. This caused me to have to swerve off onto the delightful strip of extra road meant for emergency stopping only. I then had to wait to merge back onto the highway from the somewhat “not legal” place in the middle of rush hour. Luckily some nice man saw from afar what happened and slowed down so I could re-merge onto the highway.
Never a dull day in the life of Meghan!
